IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Use eBay checkout  or request total from seller to complete your transaction.

Combining items

We will wait up to 3 weeks for you to complete your bidding / buying / thinking.

If you need more time, then do not pay the automated invoices you get, but wait until you have completed your shopping.
Request the total when ready, by clicking on the "request total" links in eBay.
Consolidated shipping and the resulting savings can only happen if you pay for all items in ONE payment.

Handling Charges

Our S&H amount includes handling costs,  which are very reasonable compared to those of other sellers.

Handling costs include:

eBay fees, including listing fees, commission fees, store fees, photo hosting fees.
PayPal fees.
Cost of envelopes, boxes, labels, wrapping, packaging, cushioning supplies.
Labor and time of packaging, writing addresses, driving to Post Office, parking fees, time waiting in line, cost of fuel.

We employ staff paid at minimum legal wage of $7.05/hr, and the cost of their time is divided among all packages they process.

Our staff spend about 4 hours a day processing abut 20 shipments.

For International shipments: Preparing Commercial Invoices, in the format required for export control, looking up Uniform Commodity Tariff codes, and filling out Customs Declaration forms completely and accurately, so shipment does not incur additional taxes and fees to the recipient.

-- Digi-Key, Farnell,  Mouser --  pass these costs on to the buyer. ( Avnet electronics: handling charge: $7.99; shipping charge: $45 UPS Ground within US for 1 pound package )

When occasional bidders have insisted that Handling Fees should be ZERO, I have kindly invited them to send over a friend or family member to our premises to perform this work for free. (and bring supplies with them too)
There have surprisingly been no volunteers. ( now why is this ???... )

Many eBay sellers do charge unreasonable handling amounts, and may use handling fees as a source of profit.

We combine S&H over up to 3 weeks, to save you money.

Shipping charges

We ship USPS, Parcel Post for the "economy shipping option".

We ship surface courier for the "added value" option. This provides the safety of tracking, insurance, and proof of delivery, and usually take 5 business days coast-to-coast.  (eBay can only list "UPS Ground", but this may be UPS, FedEx, or DHL, depending on circumstance.)

We can use the buyer's preferred shipping method if buyer wishes to pay for it. There will be additional handling charges if we have to do something differently than we do for everybody else.

Time

Your item ships within 1-2 business days once payment received. You need to add this time to the delivery time.

A payment made after 5pm Eastern Time, will only be marked as received the next morning.

Domestic delivery usually takes 5-10 business days, but occasionally can take much longer.

As eBay reminds bidders, seller cannot control and is not responsible for transit delays.

International delivery may take 2-4 weeks and may be subject to delays in Customs.  Occasionally, it has taken up to 6 weeks.
Record International transit times we have seen: Best -- 2 days ( to England )    Worst -- 6.5 weeks (to Switzerland and Italy)

If you intend to ask about a TRACKING NUMBER, then make sure you select one of the tracked UPS shipping services in the Shipping Options calculator.  (International must contact seller for "Expedited" shipping to get a tracking number)  If you choose lowest cost shipping, you will save money, but you are solely accountable for that choice, and seller is not responsible for any packages lost or misdelivered.

Your Address

We ONLY ship to the address provided by eBay and PayPal.  Make sure both your eBay and PayPal addresses are the same, and are the address where you want your item shipped.   The eBay verified address system is meant to prevent fraud and identity theft, and it must be allowed to work correctly, for everyone's protection.

If you want shipping to another address, change your addresses in both eBay and PayPal accounts to the address you want -- then wait al least 24 hours to make sure your change was processed,  before initiating transactions.

"Ask-the-seller-a-question"

Questions of the type" How many of this item do you have and what's your price for all of it?" will not get answered. They seek to shunt the fair auction process, by removing product from broad exposure. If you need large quantities in an off-auction setting, please go through distribution.

If you need larger quantities than those listed,   we may be able to set up a Buy-it-Now for additional quantities to accommodate you, IF you are the 1st or 2nd highest bidder on an item.  This is not a guarantee however, and is entirely at our discretion.

All the product we have will go on AUCTION, and the price we want is the price determined by the auction process.  If you are not a bidder on my item, don't waste my time with quantity price requests. Go through the eBay bidding process, like everyone.

"Consulting" type questions cannot be answered ( "I have an amplifier that's broken, and I wonder if you can help me fix it...").   Engineering consulting is not our area of expertise, and if it was, our hourly rates would be posted here.   If you are a high bidder on an item, we'll do our best to help you with that specific item though.

Quantity Pricing

We are not a wholesaler, not a liquidator, not a forecloser.  We are a retailer.  We use eBay because we want to let the eBay mechanism convey pricing information. We have no other pricing information to provide other than what our listings show.

Frequent Question: "Yes but I want to buy 10 of this unit, so I should get a lower price than what is listed, no?"

Answer: "Actually, you're not the only one who wants 10 of it.  By wanting 10, you are forcing the demand, and are pushing the price up, if anything. You are competing with other buyers who want 10 units, and who may be even more eager than yourself.  In case you haven't noticed, urgency pays a premium on eBay -- Buy-it-Now prices are always higher than auction prices" Urgency has a price.  We have noticed, through many transactions, that being patient, allows us to satisfy buyers who are most in need of a product."

Puzzled question: "But this doesn't make sense, larger volume should always get lower prices!"

Answer: "Actually, it does make sense.   In the stock market, if you want to buy too many shares too quickly,  you will drive the price up.    Recall the first words above... we are not a wholesaler"
